Description

The kilo silver bar is a bullion bar containing 1 kilogram (32.15 troy ounces) of fine silver, typically .999 or .9999 pure. These bars are popular with investors because they offer a lower premium per ounce than smaller silver products while still being easier to store and trade than large 100 oz bars.

Most kilo bars are rectangular with stamped markings that include:

• Weight: 1 Kilo
• Purity: Fine Silver .999 / .9999
• Refiner or mint name
• Serial number (on many brands)
• Assayer hallmark or logo

Common refiners include PAMP Suisse, Argor-Heraeus, Asahi Refining, and Sunshine Minting.
